Kate is sure he's crazy—until she sees him bring a girl back from the dead. Now saving her mother seems crazily possible. If she succeeds, she'll become Henry's future bride, and a goddess.

                                                              My review:
The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter caught my interest on the very first page. The Goddess Test  revolves girl named Kate who is trying to deal with the fact that her mother has terminal cancer and doesn't have very long left to live. Her mother wants to move back to her home  town "Eden,Michigan" to live out her last days and Kate wants her mom to be happy, so they move to Eden. While there Kate has to juggle with  her mother's illness, a new town, and new kids at school. When she gets invited to a party she thinks that maybe things may be turning around ...until everything goes horribly wrong. She finds herself thrown into a place where no one is who they seem and every decision she makes could be a test that has serious outcomes. This story is laced with Greek Mythology, Betrayal,Love, and Loss. This debut novel is most definitely a MUST READ!!!  This is the first Greek mythology book I've read and I can't wait to read more!

                                                                 My review:
The Vampire Hunter's Daughter revolves around a 14 year old girl named Chloe Kallistrate she went through a horrible tragedy, vampires killed her mother right in front of her and to make matters worse they are after her because  she is the daughter of a very powerful vampire and her farther wants her  because she is very special (half vampire/half human) her mother has been trying to keep her safe from and very far away from Trevor (Chloe's farther) who she once loved. The day her mother died  she was saved by vampire hunters, she soon finds out that her mother was a vampire hunter also and kept her hidden in secret for her own safety. She finds out she is mixed with vampire and vampire hunters blood, something that is rare and unheard of, she sets it as her mission to become the powerful vampire hunter she was meant to be so she can revenge her mother's death. I loved this book!!! It reminds me of The Strange Angels series a little and that is one of my favorite series can't not wait to start part 2.

The Storyteller
Author: Antonia Michaelis
Release Date: January 1st 2012
Publisher: Amulet Books

Summery:
Anna and Abel couldn’t be more different. They are both seventeen and in their last year of school, but while Anna lives in a nice old town house and comes from a well-to-do family, Abel, the school drug dealer, lives in a big, prisonlike tower block at the edge of town. Anna is afraid of him until she realizes that he is caring for his six-year-old sister on his own. Fascinated, Anna follows the two and listens as Abel tells little Micha the story of a tiny queen assailed by dark forces. It’s a beautiful fairy tale that Anna comes to see has a basis in reality. Abel is in real danger of losing Micha to their abusive father and to his own inability to make ends meet. Anna gradually falls in love with Abel, but when his “enemies” begin to turn up dead, she fears she has fallen for a murderer. Has she?
Award-winning author Antonia Michaelis moves in a bold new direction with her latest novel: a dark, haunting, contemporary story that is part mystery, part romance, and part melodrama.

Review: Matched by Ally Condie

Matched (Matched, #1)Hardcover, 366 pages
Published November 30th 2010 by Dutton Juvenile

                               My review:
Matched, by Ally Condie, is the story of a young girl who is suddenly handed forbidden words. Cassie has always followed the rules, wanted what was laid out for her, and anticipated a content life in Society. Until the day of her seventeenth birthday, when she attends her Matching Banquet. At first, everything goes even better than she expected. She is paired up with her childhood friend, and although she initially feels cheated of the mystery of romance from a stranger, she realizes that he is a standard by which she would have judged any other boy. Then everything changes, when there is a computer glitch showing her Match to be someone else - someone she wouldn't have otherwise considered. In addition to that, her Grandfather, just about to pass away on his 80th birthday, shares a poem which stirs up emotions she's never felt before.

As the summer progresses, Cassie learns about real life and love and discovers a seemlingly hopeless struggle for independence and survival that's been going on around her throughout her whole life. In a world where everyone's life is measured and planned and directed, does she have any real choices to make?

The author uses the unfolding romance in this story to draw a picture of an emerging mind. As Cassie discovers who she is, she also finds out that the what and why of her life are not what she thought they were.

Because I know that I can never open the paper again. I have to get rid of it. Sitting here next to Ky, drinking in the sun with my skin, my mind is clear - and I let myself realize what the sound in the woods meant earlier. That Sharp, stick-snapping sound.
Someone saw me.

Ky takes a breath, leans in closer. "I saw you."
